Scheuten Absoluut Glastechniek supplied and fitted the entrance building for the Kasteelruine at Grendelplein in Valkenburg. The building is entirely executed in glass with a total height of 9.3 metres.

In order to realize a building as transparent as possible, the entrance is built with special glass trusses that constitute the main supporting construction. The trusses consist of a slender frame in which the glass is glued and thus forms one whole.

The head and tail of the entrance building are provided with a complete steel portal to which the automatic sliding door are fitted.

The roof glazing, the glass trusses, glass beams and structural facade glazing is executed with Multisafe® glazings.

Scheuten Absoluut Glastechniek is also responsible for the engineering of the entrance building.
